No half-term break for London Wasps

Read about our busy week of grassroots rugby activities

With the schools in our community breaking up for half-term, this weekend and the week ahead will provide fantastic opportunities for us to engage with young rugby players at several events.

On Saturday 27th October, our CoacHclass Team will be at our Training Ground delivering a split Match Day CoacHclass ahead of London Wasps vs London Welsh. Forty children from the Corpus Christi School in Wales will join us for a 90-minute coaching session as part of their mini-tour, and join us at Adams Park Stadium for our Aviva Premiership clash with new boys London Welsh.

On Sunday morning our Community Team will support the following events:

  • CoacHclass Coaching for Brent Cross Barbarians and Grove RFC U10s at High Wycombe RUFC
  • Festival Refereeing and a guest appearance by Sting at the Beaconsfield RFC Minis Festival
  • Tag Rugby Coaching for Aylesbury RFC U7s before their afternoon participation in our Match Day Tag Rugby Challenge

After London Wasps' Aviva Premiership Rugby Match against London Welsh, our CoacHclass Team swing into action with 3-Day events at Beaconsfield RFC and Witney RFC for our Autumn CoacHclass Programme.

Then after the half-term week, our support of grassroots rugby will continue with 2 Ahead of the Game coaching visits to Beaconsfield RFC and Guildfordian RFC, ahead of their participation in our Land Rover Premiership Rugby Cup on 18th November.

Community Rugby Manager Dave Larham added, "This busy 9 day period demonstrates our flexible approach to supporting grassroots rugby and the popularity of London Wasps in the community. We have some fantastic programmes running next week and our staff will ensure that every child gains a positive and rewarding experience."
