Young said that there were harsh words spoken at half-time after a lacklustre first 40 minutes.
"I said our first half performance was unacceptable and I think the players knew that. They set high standards themselves and they knew we had to step up in every department. Thankfully I think we did that and I thought that we looked a completely different team in the second half. I think we were deserved winners but I do think that the bonus point was a little bit flattering to us but we will take it and well done to the boys, they kept playing right until the end."
Young said though that he would be demanding much more from the team in the weeks ahead.
"We have had three games where we haven’t played for the full 80 minutes. If we can play for 80 minutes at the level that we did in the second half today or for what we did for 55 or 60 minutes at Twickenham, we are going to be a hard team to beat. We are nowhere near the finished article, we have got to keep working on things but I think we have shown glimpses of how good we can be and if we can play for 80 minutes I think it is going to take a good team to beat us. That is the challenge for us.
Looking ahead to two weeks away to Gloucester and Northampton Young added.
"We know that we have got two really tough games on the road which we are not going to win with 40 minute performances. When you go to Gloucester, Northampton or places like that it is always going to be tough. We are going to have to play for 80 minutes, which we have struggled to do yet. Hopefully this win will give them a lot of confidence, a lot of belief and we can build on today."
