London Wasps support ProRugby Italia rugby camp

The London Wasps CoacHclass Programme extended its boundaries to Northern Italy last week when 2 of our coaches joined 2 RFU coaches and Italian community coaches to deliver a 7-Day event at Val Di Sole. Our CoacHclass Programme Officer Ryan Hunt was joined by Dave Larham (Community Rugby Manager) and RFU Community Staff Neil Loader and David Hilton to help deliver the event to 111 players aged 8yrs to 12yrs.

The event on 24th to 30th June was organised by Community Partners ProRugby Italia to offer young players from Italy with an opportunity to enjoy a bespoke Rugby Holiday that focused on the coaching of core rugby skills, decision-making, unit skills, team play and game understanding; utilising the emphasis of how rugby is coached in England.

Dave Larham was delighted with the event and told wasps.co.uk, "We were pleased to receive the invitation from our good friend Ago' to work with ProRugby Italia to help deliver their second event in Val Di Sole. Every element of the organisation from Pro Rugby was perfect and allowed us to concentrate on coaching, mentoring the Italian coaches and providing a high quality experience for the young players. We received tremendous praise and feedback from ProRugby Italia and will be working with them to host their older players at RAF Halton in August."
