Awards night a huge success
Christian Wade and Hugo Southwell scooped the major awards at last night’s end of season awards dinner held at the Grand Connaught Rooms in London.
Wade was voted by fans as their star man, with the 20-year-old winning the Supporters' Player of the Season after a stellar breakthrough season where he scored 13 tries in 20 appearances.
Southwell, in his first season at Wasps, was voted as the EMC Players’ Player of the Season following an impressive debut year in the Black and Gold shirt.
Around 400 attended the event including players, coaches, staff, management, supporters and club partners.
As well as the main awards there were also special presentations and tributes to a number of players including Tom Rees, John Hart and Joe Worsley who were all commented for their efforts in Wasps shirts over many years.
A number of departing players also took the stage to say their farewells.
