Everard has made a positive impression at Wasps
The 20-year-old, who was part of the England Junior World Cup bid earlier this year, has impressed in his first few months with the club, having made his debut with a try scoring effort in a pre-season win over Munster in August.
His new deal will see him remain at London Wasps until the end of the 2013/14 season.
Everard said: “I’m delighted to secure my future at Wasps for the next few seasons. I’ve learned so much in my first few months with the club and I’m thoroughly enjoying getting a run in the team. We’ve got a lot of great young players here and it’s great for me and those guys that we get regular chances to play. You only have to look at the impact other young players like Christian Wade and Joe Launchbury are making this season to see that we’ve got the basis for a good future here and I am really pleased to be part of it.”
London Wasps Director of Rugby Dai Young said: “Matt is a young player with a fantastic attitude and he’s worked really hard in his first few months with the club. He’s learning all the time from the more experienced guys around him and I have no doubt he’ll continue to improve.”
Everard joined Wasps in the summer from Leicester, bringing with him a wealth of leadership experience at youth level including captaincy roles with seven different school, club and national sides including England U18 and U19.
