Team news: Wasps name team to play Rovigo

Wasps continue their European campaign at Adams Park this Sunday

Having travelled to Bordeaux last weekend for the first round of the Amlin Challenge Cup, London Wasps return to Adams Park to play their second fixture of the competition against Italian side, Rovigo.

For the debut fixture between the two sides, London Wasps have named a strong and exciting side.

Hugo Southwell regains the 15 shirt, moving Richard Haughton to the wing, who is joined by Chris Mayor on the other.

Having come off of the bench after 20 minutes last weekend and scoring a try fifteen minutes later, Dom Waldouck earns himself a starting place outside Chris Bell, who returns to the side having been rested previously and Nic Berry returns to the side at scrum half.

There is one change to the front row, with Bob Baker joining Tom Lindsay and Zak Taulafo, and Matt Everard is the final change, coming in at open side flanker.

Director of Rugby Dai Young said: “To go out to France last weekend and win the way we did was a great result. However, winning out there is pointless unless we back it up with a win at home. It is a test mentally to be expected to win a game as we are this weekend and we have failed that test recently when we hosted Newport Gwent Dragons in the LV=Cup so I am looking to the boys to have learnt from that lesson and prove that we are moving forward with a result this weekend.”
