Rugby Football Development Officer Tim Holmes was delighted with the new joint venture, "We had a fantastic response from our secondary schools and delivered a high quality event for both the pupils and the teachers. The blend of morning coaching and afternoon competition, plus the Scrum Factory Workshop for teachers, provided a holistic programme of rugby activity that will hopefully inspire this generation of players to continue their participation at school and their local club.

Dave Larham told wasps.co.uk, "Tim and I supported the identified need for Year 9 pupils to further engage in a rugby programme that promotes their local club as a pathway for participation. The pupils have previously engaged in rugby through taking part in the Year 7 and Year 8 Emerging Schools Festivals and we felt it was important to continue their participation beyond these National Events. The addition of the Scrum Factory element provided additional knowledge, experience and confidence in coaching the scrummaging position and was well received by the 25 teachers. We received fantastic partnership support from the RFU and look forward to working together again on similar programmes."
