David Hughes, Gus Jones, Alex Lundberg and Beno Obano are all named in the squad.

David Hughes has come through the traditional development streams at the club, identified first with the Oxfordshire/Wasps Schools of Rugby (SOR) aged U13 and with the EDPG group with Academy Manager, Rob Smith based at Henley RFC. Overlooked at U16 divisional, David enrolled with the London Wasps Academy Apprenticeship (AASE - now based at Henley College) and has made exceptional progress unter the tutelage of Mark Lock.

Rob Smith said: "David is a lock forward with outstanding athletic ability, with very good size, speed, strength and power. Coming from a background rugby development environment which was not too demanding, David worked hard in his first year on the AASE and has in a very short time progressed massively resulting in this selection for England U18’s which is of great credit to him."

Gus Jones was also first identified via the Oxforshire/Wasps SOR aged U13. He trains now at the Wasps Twyford Avenue EPDG base with Chris Lloyd, schooling at Eton College where he plays most of his games. An outstanding openside flanker with high energy and exceptional skill, Gus also has a great team dynamic, work ethic and leadership skills. Rob Smith said: "This selection is richly deserved due to hours of dedicated, high quality training Gus has put in over a number of seasons."

Alex Lundberg has gained his selection after strong performances at loosehead Prop with the full England U16 squad last season and comes into the England U18 squad a year early. Indentified into the Wasps/Middlesex SOR and then the Twyford based EPDG as an U13 age band player, it is a particular delight that Alex has developed through the Wasps FC youth and minis structure where, along with his school Hampton School, he has gained his match programme and early development, to now achieve this outstanding playing performance level. Alex only moved to prop late last season and was originally selected as a back row for the England U16 squad.

Beno Obano was indentified through the Wasps/Middlesex SOR aged U14 and this was followed by promotion into the Wasps EPDG under the guidance of Chris Lloyd. Beno has been selected into the England U18 squad as a tight-head prop/hooker and has achieved this a year early. Rob Smith said: "Beno missed out on Divisional/England U16 selection last season due to injury and I am very pleased to see a full recovery and this has not interupted his progress. Beno is an exceptional player with strong ball carrying qualities."
