Join London Wasps coach Paul Turner* at the ESPN Masterclass on Wednesday 26th October at Marlow RUFC from 7.30pm to 9pm. The former Wales international will be joined by ESPN coaches and Community Rugby Manager Dave Larham to deliver a Coach Education session:
"Decision-Making at the Breakdown"
based on 1 on 1 pre-contact skills, winning the collision and the decision-making process for the ball carrier and support players. The session will include advice on what influences the decision-making in our 22m, between the 22ms and in the opposition 22m; focusing on the what, why & how and cause & effect
*Paul Turner replaces Trevor Woodman who was originally scheduled to deliver this high-profile Coach The Coaches Session
This FREE session is being delivered as part of ESPN’s rugby sponsorship and will be filmed as part of the build up to our live game versus Worcester Warriors on 29th October. It is aimed at Level 1, Level 2 & Level 3 coaches and school teachers who want to gain ideas and game understanding to help promote an improved level of contact rugby delivery to their young players. The session is being hosted by our Community Partner Rugby Club Marlow RUFC; with an open invitation extended to local school teachers and neighbouring rugby club coaches. This is an ideal opportunity for coaches and teachers to exchange ideas, network and establish new partnerships. Marlow RUFC will provide players for Paul and his co-coaches to coach in a practical session, while providing ongoing dialogue with the observing coaches and teachers on the processes being used and answer questions throughout.
Coaches and teachers do not need to pre-register before the event and are invited to join Marlow RUFC in the Clubhouse before and after the ESPN Masterclass
