Elliot Daly scored three tries against Scotland
England U20s secured another superb victory in this season’s 6 Nations campaign on Friday night, running in eight tries in a 56-8 win against a spirited Scotland side, who themselves touched down once.
London Wasps centre Elliot Daly helped himself to a hat-trick while Wasps wing Christian Wade also scored once.
After the game, Daly said “I’ve been getting on the end of a few tries recently [seven in three 6 Nations games] but it really is all down to my teammates. I think I only ran the minimum amount of yardage for my three against Scotland, and that’s all down to the hard work of the players around me.
Rob Hunter’s men now head into next Friday’s match against Ireland in Athlone with a win securing them a clean sweep for the first time since 2008.
England's Tom Croft, Tom Palmer and Simon Shaw
Simon Shaw was part of the England team that beat Scotland 22 points to 16 on Sunday. Shaw, who started on the bench, came on for Louis Deacon after 66 minutes to help England maintain their 100 per cent record in the 2011 RBS 6 Nations in a closely-fought affair at Twickenham.
There was also success for the Wasps women’s players in the England camp at the weekend. England downed Scotland 89-0 at Twickenham with Wasps players Toya Mason, Jo McGilchrist and Claire Purdy all featuring.
