As a leading deliverer in Rugby Development, the London Wasps Community Programme is expanding to new areas, and we are looking for part-time qualified referees to assist us in officiating at our own festivals and tournaments; and the Community Partner events that we support. We will be interested in your refereeing services if you have the following;

We currently employ 220+ part-time staff with backgrounds as teachers, policemen, military personnel and former rugby professionals. We welcome employees of businesses who allow you to work in the community as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility. We offer competitive rates of pay linked to the qualifications held, items of London Wasps clothing and match tickets linked to the projects the referees are employed to deliver.
Community Rugby Coach Ben Smiley told wasps.co.uk, "I initially got involved with the London Wasps Community Team as a volunteer, and as my experience and knowledge of rugby development grew I started to move up the pay scale within the Community Team. I am now employed full-time by London Wasps and cannot speak highly enough of the Continual Professional Development that was afforded to me when I was a part-time employee."

As our Community Events involve working with children and young people, the post holders will be required to undergo an advanced Disclosure & Barring Service check through the Rugby Football Union and complete a Self Declaration Form. Possession of a valid driving licence and access to a suitable vehicle for use is required, as the posts will involve travelling. All posts may involve working unsociable hours.
