Become a Part-Time London Wasps Community Referee

Join our Community Team as a part-time Referee working on the delivery of our Community Programmes

• Are you a qualified rugby referee?
• Do you possess a RFU-issued DBS Enhanced Disclosure Certificate?
• Do you have a passion for Rugby, Rugby Development and working with young people?
• Do you enjoy being part of a successful team?

If the answers to the above is "yes", then the London Wasps Community Team wants you to join them.

As a leading deliverer in Rugby Development, the London Wasps Community Programme is expanding to new areas, and we are looking for part-time qualified referees to assist us in officiating at our own festivals and tournaments; and the Community Partner events that we support. We will be interested in your refereeing services if you have the following;

• RFU Referee qualification; minimum of RFU Entry Level Referee Award Stage Two preferred
• RFU-issued Enhanced DBS Disclosure
• Knowledge of the RFU Continuum and capable of working with young people from Under 6s to Under 17s
• Sevens Rugby referee experience
• Experience of creating a quality player-centred learning environment for young people
• High level of proven communication skills
• Professional appearance

We would also prefer it if you had all of the below;

• Driving licence and own vehicle
• First Aid qualification

We currently employ 220+ part-time staff with backgrounds as teachers, policemen, military personnel and former rugby professionals. As our Community Events involve working with children and young people, the post holders will be required to undergo an advanced Disclosure & Barring Service check through the Rugby Football Union and complete a Self Declaration Form. Possession of a valid driving licence and access to a suitable vehicle for use is required, as the posts will involve travelling. All posts may involve working unsociable hours.
