Community Partner Clubs battle it out in Tag Rugby Challenge

On Sunday 20th September 40 young players in the U7s and U8s contested our Match Day Tag Challenge during the half time of London Wasps 23 - 3 victory over Worcester Warriors in the Guinness Premiership. Our Community Partner Clubs Bicester RFC and High Wycombe RUFC enjoyed their afternoon at Adams Park that started with photographs on the pitch with London Wasps first team players Mark Robinson and Hugo Ellis before playing in front of 7,500 people during the break; the fixtures were:

• Bicester RUFC U7s (Red, Gold and Brown Hoops) vs High Wycombe RUFC U7s (Green, White and Black Hoops)
• Bicester RUFC U8s (Red, Gold and Brown Hoops) vs High Wycombe RUFC U8s (Green, White and Black Hoops)

Following the Tag Challenge, Community Rugby Coach and Tag Challenge organiser Ben Smiley told wasps.co.uk: "I was really impressed at how the young players applied themselves to their games. Some of the players will only have been playing Tag Rugby for 2 weeks, and the skills that everyone demonstrated was outstanding."

Upon their return to Oxfordshire, Bicester RUFC group organiser Nigel Trilk told us: "Thank you so much for today. The children, parents and coaches really enjoyed it and we all cannot wait to come back."
