Dan entered the London Wasps Apprenticeship scheme after former Wasps Director of Rugby Nigel Melville, who now heads up USA rugby, recommended him to London Wasps Academy Manager, Rob Smith.

A graduate of the Apprenticeship at the close of the 2007/08 season, Dan has returned to America to take up his music scholarship place at the prestigious Stanford University where he will continue to pursue his rugby ambitions alongside his studies.

On the news of his selection, Academy Apprenticeship Manager, Chris Lloyd, said, "It is always very pleasing to see the lads achieving their goals. Dan brought a great deal to the Apprenticeship and the squad as a whole. He made great strides with his rugby whilst with us, bringing a tenacious desire to improve to all that he did.

"It is probably fair to say that is what has brought him selection to the Under 20s as an 18 year old. We are all extremely pleased for Danny and very proud of his progress - Once a Wasps, always a Wasp!"
