On Sunday 9th March the London Wasps Community Team were delighted to host a three-way triangular Community Partner Challenge Tournament at the Royal Grammar School, High Wycombe between:
The day was a fitting celebration of the life of Harry Mills who died from Meningitis on Thursday the 26th of April 2007 at the age of 11 years. Harry was a member of Marlow RFC and a regular London Wasps CoacHclass player who demonstrated superb sporting ability at rugby, football and cricket.
The Challenge included the Harry Mills Memorial Cup between Marlow RFC and Drifters RFC; which was Harry's last rugby match before his untimely death. In the inaugral match, Harry's former team mates overcame the strong challenge of Drifters with a 22 - 0 final score.
The winners of the Community Partner Challenge Tournament were Wasps FC winning both their matches. They were presented with their Cup by Harry's parents Richard and Judith Mills.

It was wonderful to see all the boys enjoying themselves so much and I'm sure it's a day they will always remember - we know Harry would've loved it. Rugby is truly a special sport. - Richard & Judith Mills
Marlow RFC U13s were presented with the Harry Mills Memorial Trophy by Harry's parents Richard and Judith Mills, supported by London Wasps James Honeyben on the centre spot of Adams Park before kick off between London Wasps and Harlequins match. The Marlow RFC U13s were then invited to join the Tunnel of Honour in their celebratory t-shirts, to welcome the Wasps and Harlequins teams out on to the pitch for kick off.
We were delighted to receive a special message from Richard and Judith Mills, "Many thanks to you all for your part in making yesterday such a great day of rugby on all levels - coaching, playing, teamwork and watching the professionals in action. It was wonderful to see all the boys enjoying themselves so much and I'm sure it's a day they will always remember - we know Harry would've loved it. Thank you to all the clubs involved - Marlow, Wasps, Drifters & the London Wasps Community Team - your continuing support for us is very much appreciated & valued. Rugby is truly a special sport."
The Community Partner Challenge Tournament and Harry Mills Memorial Cup was organised to celebrate the life of Harry Mills and also to help raise awareness for The Meningitis Research Foundation and The Youth Sport Trust.
David Walker, Marlow RFC U13s assistant coach told us, "Just a quick note to say a personal thank you for today. Wasps Community Team delivered (again) - I believe that every boy from the three clubs enjoyed themselves and I know that the Marlow boys loved going on the pitch for both the presentation and the tunnel. The referees and support staff were great. The coordination at RGS and Adams Park was great."
