Sting at Slough RFC
Sunday 2nd March may have been Mothers day but that didn't stop 8 Rugby clubs attending Slough RFC Mini's Festival. The rugby clubs entered teams from U7s through to U12s with semi-finals and finals deciding the winners after the pool stages.
The number of people attending was great to see and from so many different clubs - Craig Burgess
Community Coaches Craig Burgess, Matt Bray and Ben Lee helped referee some of the matches in the U9s and U10s age groups with Matt Bray taking charge of the deciding Finals.
Sting was also at Slough RFC making a nuisance of himself and was on hand to help Andrew Leighton-Pope the Mini & Junior Section Chairman make the presentations.
Slough RFC U9s
Community Sports Coach Craig Burgess told wasps.co.uk, 'The number of people attending was great to see and from so many different clubs. The rugby being played was great to watch and everyone seemed to be trying extra hard for their Mum! A massive thank you to Dave Frewin (Slough RFC) for inviting London Wasps and helping to organise our visit; and Slough RFC for their superb. We always receive a warm welcome whenever we visit Slough RFC.'
This visit was part of the Club Support Pillar of Activity of the London Wasps Community Foundation
