Wasps v Leicester on Sunday will be supporters first chance to see their team on home turf, and with Leicester the only team to get a result at Adams Park throughout the whole of last season, the age old rivalry will undoubtedly be in evidence once again when the teams run out a week on Sunday.
While the World Cup inevitably means both teams will have a different look, Tigers will have several new faces in their line up having recruited heavily over the summer. Big name signings likely to figure next week in clued former Leinster back rower, Owen Finegan, welsh international hooker Mefin Davies plus the first man to make the move from Wasps to Tigers, Ayoola Erinle - who hit the ground running with a try in Tigers opening match last weekend.
That's in addition to first team regulars Andy Goode, Sam Vesty, Ollie Smith and Tom Varndell in the back, plus Julian White in the pack.
With names like that on the team sheet, Wasps youngsters are going to be tested. Of course they will be able to call on players who know Tigers very well: namely front rowers James Buckland and Michael Holford, who will have passed Erinle on their way down the M1 to Wasps over the summer. In addition, don't underestimate the value of your support, which will be vital in giving the team a boost to play at their best.
