Wasps in the Community
Welcome to Wasps Community website area. Read on to find out more about who we are and what we do. Alternatively, take a tour around everything we have to offer by exploring the links in the top right hand corner of this page.
Our Aim: To educate, motivate and inspire through the power of sport.
Our commitment to the community is a long-term project, working with partners, and focusing on forging and developing strong relationships with schools, clubs, universities, local authorities and businesses. We take pride in delivering quality rugby and lifestyle programmes; supporting grass roots development in primary schools, secondary schools, Further Education and local rugby clubs.
Our aim is to make Wasps accessible to young people from all backgrounds by establishing links with projects such as the CoacHclass Programme, Aviva Tackling Numbers, Something to Chew On, Wasps Independent Schools Programme, Extra-Curricular opportunities and local initiatives.
"At Wasps we recognise the importance of our Community Programmes and the responsibility that we have as professional players and staff to be positive role models and ambassadors for our sport and our club. We are delighted that our projects reach so many young people and adults from all backgrounds in our community. It is important that we continue to generate new interest in rugby participation and sustainable support for Wasps." - Dai Young, Director of Rugby, Wasps
