Matt Everard

Born in Lutterworth, Matt Everard started playing rugby at Lutterworth RFC and began his professional career as a member of the Leicester Tigers Academy.

He made his professional debut for Leicester in a Cup tie in 2009 and was part of the successful Tigers A League winning side in 2009/10, also captaining the Tigers Academy side to wins over Wales U18s and England U19 Academies.

Everard has also represented England at a range of levels from U16 upwards and captained England at U18 and U19 level. He was part of the successful England U20 Six Nations side in 2011 and played in that year's Junior World Cup where his side reached the final.

Everard was handed a trial match at Wasps against Munster in a pre-season friendly in the summer of 2011 and did enough to be handed a one season deal which was later upgraded to a two year contract extension highlighting his growth as one to watch in the squad.

Last season Matt Everard made 10 appearances for the Club and captained the Wasps A side against Exeter Chiefs A side at Henley.
