A former schoolboy javelin champion from Yorkshire, Rob Webber has made a big impact at Wasps, working through from the A team to the 1st XV after joining the Club from Leeds Tykes in the 2005/06 season. He made his senior debut in December 2005 and has now made 75 senior appearances for Wasps, captaining the team on a number of occasions. He signed a new contract last season that will keep him at the Club until 2012.
Rob won the Yorkshire championship with Pocklington RFC before representing Yorkshire in the U15 side. He represented England at all levels, from U16 to U21, as well as playing in the European Shield with former Club Leeds. The summer of 2006 saw Rob gain his first England U21cap in the World Championship against Fiji.
As a regular face in the London Wasps A team, Rob was part of the side that won the A League title in the 2006/07 season. Since then, Rob has progressed within the Club to become a regular first team player. His continued progress has seen him win England Saxons honours and in 2010 he was included in the England senior squad, which toured Australia and New Zealand. He has been named one of two Vice Captains at Wasps for the 2010/11 season.
