Paul Volley

Paul VOLLEY is a dynamic and fiery open-side flanker. Very strong in the tackle, his determination to put-himself-about is evident straight from the kick-off. Paul had an exceptional season in 99-00, cemented his spot in the first team and then called-up by Clive Woodward into the full England squad for the summer-2000 tour to South Africa.

Last season he was a regular in the England A side but mysteriously, Paul was left out of the squad for the North American tour. He was married during the summer and honeymooning in Barbados, missed the training camp and friendly games in Ireland during August.

His enthusiasm for the game and welcoming any opportunity to prove the hierarchy wrong, Paul is sure to start the season challenging for honours again. He is the third squad member in the back row to join Wasps in their teens. He arrived aged only 16 in 1988, and captained the unbeaten Colts side of 90/91. Paul went to Australia to gain experience and returned to Wasps four years ago.
