An outstanding product of the Wasps Academy, Tom Rees is currently the club's captain.
Born in Hampshire and a former pupil of Harriet Costello in Basingstoke and RGS High Wycombe, Rees joined Wasps as a member of the Academy in 2003 but made his way into the 1XV in 2004/05, impressing as a young flanker hungry for success.
His impressive performances earned him a senior contract for 2005/06. He was part of the 2007 Heineken Cup winning team and in 2008 he ended another great season with an opening try in the Premiership final win against Leicester Tigers.
On the international scene, Rees has represented England at almost all levels including U16, U18, U19, U20s and Senior levels as well as playing for England Sevens.
He earned his first senior cap with England as a replacement against Scotland in the 2007 Six Nations and was subsequently named in the 2007 World Cup squad. He also played in the 2008 and 2009 Six Nations.
His career at both club and international level has been hampered greatly by a variety of untimely injuries.
Having missed the majority of last season after undergoing surgery on his shoulder, he has worked hard on his rehab for most of the season and will be keen to make an impact on his return.
