Born in Plymouth; Tommy Bell started playing rugby at Ivybridge RFC, age 6 and joined London Wasps ahead of the 2012/13 season, having spent three years with Sale Sharks.
Bell, the younger brother of Wasps centre Chris, is a versatile young talent who can play centre, fly-half and fullback and he arrived at the Club fresh from England U20 duty at the age-grade World Championships. Bell has also just completed a hugely impressive season for Leeds Carnegie in the Championship where he was on loan in 2011/12, scoring 234 points in 21 appearances.
His outstanding goal-kicking and all round play saw him pick up the Club's Young Player of the Year award and the Supporters' Player of the Year award, outlining his huge potential in the game.
As a youngster Bell was part of the Ivybridge RFC team that won the Devon U15 and 16 Cups while Ivybridge College won the Truro tournament. He has also captained Devon U16 and the South West at that level.
