Born in Aberystwyth , Stephen Jones began his professional career at Llanelli RFC in 1996.
Jones signed for Wasps ahead of the 2012/13 season with a reputation as a world-class fly-half. His stellar career has seen him represent his country 104 times as well as being a double tourist with the British and Irish Lions in 2005 and in 2009.
Jones spent eight years with the Scarlets before he moved to French Club Clermont Auvergne in 2004. He re-joined the Scarlets in 2006 after an impressive two year stint in France and will bring valuable experience to Wasps.
In a Welsh shirt he is now the second-highest points scorer in Welsh international rugby history behind Neil Jenkins and he played a major part in both of Wales' Grand Slam victories in 2005 and 2008.
Ahead of a likely career in coaching, Jones is expected to play a key role on and off the pitch at London Wasps in the coming season.
