Rob Henderson 2000/2001

Rob Henderson

Physical Irish international centre who joined Wasps midway through the '96/97 from London Irish and played in big part in the league run-in.

One of the best tacklers in the Premiership, Rob came through strongly towards the end of last season to make 20 appearences for the club and subsequently regained his Ireland place for the side's tour of the Americas.

Season 98/99 was disrupted by a string of injuries and although he was arguably Ireland's best backline player in their Five Nations Campaign he lost his place in the Ireland team for the test against South Africa in the summer.

Although born in England Rob qualifies for Ireland via his mother who was born in Wexford.
