Charlie Beech

Charlie Beech joined Wasps from Northampton in 2007/08. He'd been with the Saints since 2003, originally as a member of the Academy side. Beech made his debut for their A XV in 2004 and his 1XV debut in 2005 and continued to play in the 1XV well into the 2006/07 season.

He made his first team debut for Wasps in October 2007 but then had to wait 13 months before his next taste of senior rugby, when he came off the bench to score a match-winning try at Newcastle.

He made eight more first team appearances last season, taking his total to 19. Sadly, his season came to a premature end in mid-November, when he suffered an injury in the LV= Cup game against Gloucester and was forced to spend the rest of the campaign in rehab.

Beech has representative honours to his name with England, after playing for the U16 and U18 sides as well as being in the U19s World Cup side which travelled to Dubai in 2006. He also made the U20 side in the 2007 Six Nations.
