Born in Chesterfield, Charlie Davies began his professional career with Nottingham, where he spent two seasons as a first team player, while studying at Nottingham Trent University.
He was rewarded for his promise when he signed for Top 14 side Stade Francais, developing his scrum-half skills and making four first team appearances at the prestigious club. While playing in France Davies was called up to the England U20 side in 2010 and later that summer he signed for Wasps. He appeared for England U20 again later that summer at the Junior World Cup.
The product of Birkdale School played a number of games in his first season at Wasps out on loan to Nottingham but made a strong start to the 2011/12 season; starting Wasps' first Premiership game at Twickenham where he helped his side beat Saracens on the opening day.
He made 13 appearances last year for the Club, in a battle for the number 9 shirt with Joe Simpson and Nic Berry, and was rewarded with a two year contract extension.
