Now in his second season with the Club, South African lock Marco Wentzel made a huge impression in the black and gold shirt in his first last year.
In the absence of John Hart to injury, Marco captained the side for most of the season and playing a key role in the line-out where he was also involved in coaching duties.
Having started his rugby career at the Super Rugby franchise the Bulls, and winning a couple of Test caps for South Africa, Wentzel spent some time with Benetton Treviso before moving to the Premiership in 2007, when he spent two years with Leicester Tigers before moving to Leeds Carnegie.
A shoulder injury threatened to end his season prematurely last year when he was told in February he would miss the rest of the season, but with a huge game against Newcastle looming on the final day, Wentzel somehow worked his way back to full fitness for the key game.
