Trevor Leota 1997/1998

Trevor Leota

Trevor LEOTA has become a cult hero at Loftus Road since he joined Wasps in 1997, after catching Nigel Melville's eye during Western Samoa's pre-season tour over here. Surges of adrenalin as the game heats up occasionally affects his line-out throwing. But his power, physical presence and huge strength in the tackle make our Trevor a frightening prospect.

Now a regular member of the Samoan team, Trevor broke his leg during an international in the Epson Pacific Cup a year ago but he returned to the side in October and was in the starting line-up or came off the subs bench to join the action, for the rest of last season. Sharing the hooker's duties with Phil Greening, they give Wasps an edge few other clubs possess.
