Daniel Leo

Dan was born in New Zealand but the family moved to Australia when he was 18. Dan's pre-Wasps rugby career included playing for the Sunnybank Club and the Queensland Reds Super 12 team. After joining Wasps in February 2006, he began to make regular appearances for the AXV, marking his debut with a try. Shortly after, Dan was starting for the 1XV and he has since become a vital member of the Wasps squad.

The 2006/07 season allowed Dan to prove his ability and skills making a healthy 23 appearances for the Club, including an appearance from the bench in the Heineken Cup Final. Last season he made a further 16 appearances, to bring his total number to 70. Dan gained international recognition in the 2007 Rugby World Cup, being selected in the Samoan World Cup squad, where he displayed some strong performances and returned to Wasps with new depth to his game for 2007/08. He has also played for the Pacific Islands.
