Born in Blaina in the South Wales valleys, Cerian moved to Cardiff in 1996 to study a degree in Human Movement Studies at the University of Wales Institute, Cardiif (UWIC), following which he commenced a Physiotherapy degree at the University of Wales College of Medicine' graduating in 2002.
Further studies have included a Post-graduate Diploma in Sport and Exercise Medicine (UWIC 2005-7), alongside extensive studies in dry needling.
Cerian's physiotherapy career in sport began in football with Cardiff City football club and led to 4 years working for the Welsh FA travelling throughout Europe with the national age-group squads. During this time he also held contracts with the Welsh Rugby Union providing physiotherapy services to the National Academy and national 7's team.
In 2009 he was appointed Head Physiotherapist at Swansea City Football Club prior to relocating to London to take up a post with London Irish RFC. After 3 seasons with London Irish he then took up a Head of Sports Medicine role with Superleague club London Broncos, leaving that role in June to commence hsi role as Senior Physiotherapist at London Wasps RFC.
