By Road:

Leave the M6 at Junction 19. Take the A556 signed to Manchester/Altrincham, then join the M56 towards Manchester Airport. After a few miles, leave the M56 and join the M60 towards Stockport. Leave the M60 at Junction 1 and turn right at the second set of traffic lights to go onto the A560 towards Cheadle. Then turn left into Edgeley Road (there is a pub at the left hand corner at the lights at this junction). The ground is down the raod on the right and is well sign-posted.

It is important to note that there is limited parking available at Edgeley Park.

By Rail:

Stockport station is 10 minutes walk (approx. half a mile) from Edgeley Park. Use rear entrance for shortest route, then turn left up Station Road and continue up the hill towards the roundabout. Go straight over the roundabout and turn left into Caroline Street.

From the south:

Stockport is on the main North/South rail line to Manchester. Most trains from the Midlands, the South and West, and London call at Stockport.

From the east:

There is an hourly service from Sheffield, which originates variously from Nottingham/Derby, Lincolnshire, Peterborough and East Anglia. Also, there is a useful Midland Mainline service, which runs from London St. Pancras to Manchester Piccadilly and calls at Luton, Wellingborough, Kettering, Market Harborough, Leicester and Stockport.

From the north east/Yorkshire:

There is a frequent service to Stockport from Leeds, running at about 3 or 4 per hour, originating in Newcastle, Scarborough, York and Hull. All these trains are bound for Manchester Airport, it is necessary to change at Manchester Piccadilly, where there is a frequent service to Stockport. If you are travelling via Bradford, there is a service to Manchester Victoria and you can use your rail ticket on the Metro to transfer between Manchester Piccadilly and Stockport.

From the west:

There is a frequent service from Liverpool, Southport and Blackpool.

From the north:

There are services to Manchester airport from Scotland, the North and Lake District, which will entail a change at Manchester Piccadilly. There is a direct Virgin train from Scotland to Manchester Piccadilly and Stockport, though fairly infrequent.

By Bus:

Stockport is well connected by an extensive local bus service. Numbers 11, 368, 369 pass Edgeley Park directly, and many services have stops outside Stockport College, which is just 5 minutes away by foot. A number of longer distance bus services, such as TP from Nottingham/Derby also operate through Stockport. For more detailed information refer to the Greater Manchester Passenger Transport Executive online timetable.

By Air:

Manchester International Airport has many internal and international flights, and is about 20 minutes away by taxi. Train connections are made by travelling to Manchester Piccadilly and changing for Stockport.
