H Missing 10 of their star players through injury or non-selection, London Wasps, led by skipper Lawrence Dallaglio, coasted to victory against L'Aquila in Pool Two of the Heineken Cup at Loftus Road.

Centre Fraser Waters open the scoring after five minutes, pouncing on a loose ball centimetres from the line to score. Winger Kenny Logan added the extra points and did not waste a chance all afternoon, being successful with all six conversions.

Four minutes later fly-half Andrea Masi missed a chance for the Italians, sending his close-range penalty kick left of the uprights.

Wasps extended their lead in the 28th minute. Centre Mark Denney finished off a surge by the home pack.

Wasps' defence was taken by surprise in the 32nd minute when winger Pierpaolo Rotilio sneaked through on the right to earn the Italians five much-needed points.

It was short-lived revival, as six minutes later Waters sneaked through the centre to score.

At half-time Wasps led 21-5, and they stretched their advantage in the 50th minute, full-back Alex King sprinting down the right to score.

A dramatic run through the centre by Logan in the 68th minute secured Wasps' victory.

Continuing to pile on the pressure, Dallaglio led the pack in the 76th minute to score his side's sixth try.
