Stade Francais Paris 40
London Wasps 10
Diego Dominguez blasted Wasps 40-10 in a one-sided Heineken Cup clash.
He was ably supported by Christophe Dominici, who scored a hat-trick of tries from full-back, that tore apart the Black and Gold.
Wasps looked disorganised in the first quarter against the slick adventure of Stade Francais.
The mood was set by a super try by Dominguez who broke from his own half and the ball travelled via Christophe Moni, Cliff Mytton and Dominici before the outside-half finished off the classic move.
Kenny Logan turned Wasps' a period of pressure into points in the first half. The huge English pack began to make big inroads with their back row gaining valuable metres, led by Andy Reed and Simon Shaw.
Wasps began to motor behind their pack and Alex King was given a second chance at a quickly-taken penalty. The Stade Francais defence was caught unawares and Logan outran Dominici for the corner flag.
A big psychological boost was lost when Logan missed two penalties, the latter on the stroke of half-time in front of the posts. Stade began kicking for position but it was the pace and cutting edge of Dominici that put victory out of sight for Wasps.
Dominici sidestepped, ducked and dragged himself over for his first try and the World Cup star showed pace in midfield for a second.
Wasps were plainly out of the game when Dominici completed his hat-trick after his forwards kept possession of the ball down the blindside.
A disappointing result, but one that Wasps will want to put behind them when Stade come calling at LOftus Road next week.
