Wasps hold on for victory
London Wasps held on for a 25-24 win at Adams Park this afternoon. Wasps played a blinder in the first half, streaking into a 22-0 lead, with Clermont only getting on the board with a penalty five minutes before the break.
In the second half Wasps suffered from impatience in attack, and Clermont's slow but sure response enabled them to get back in the game, and though they went into injury time out of bonus point territory, as last minute try gave them just that.
However, though disappointed, Waspos still avenged the defeat of last week, and sit at the head of Pool 5 tonight, though Munster will go on top again if they win against Llanelli on Sunday.
