"I would like to thank our main sponsors, partners and all our supporters for your continued involvement with the Club. Your support is absolutely vital for Wasps’ continued success, both on and off the pitch, as we continue the development of our new Community Stadium and strive to compete with the best teams in the Premiership and in Europe.

"Overall, last season was a good one for Wasps. The Club showed great improvement from the previous season, finishing fifth in the Premiership, and we are delighted to have qualified for the Heineken Cup in 2010/11. This was reflected in the high number of Wasps players selected in the senior England tour to Australia and New Zealand, more than from any other Premiership club, which further demonstrates the Club’s ongoing focus to develop players of the highest calibre to play for England.

"The Club was also proud to host the inaugural St George’s Day Game at Twickenham, on Saturday 24th April, in front of more than 60,000 people. Everyone at Wasps was delighted to be part of this magnificent occasion; the first of what will become an annual fixture celebrating all things English.

"The St George’s Day Game was so much more than a game of rugby. In particular, it recognised and paid tribute to the invaluable efforts of our brave servicemen and women. Returning troops from Afghanistan were greeted by a rousing reception from the crowd, parading on to the pitch as part of the pre-match ceremony. It was humbling to witness such an incredible ovation and fantastic to see so many people at Twickenham, supporting both their Club and their Country.

"You will be pleased to know plans are already underway to make next year’s St George’s Day Game even bigger and better. With exciting additions to next year’s squad, such as the return of British & lrish Lions and England international Riki Flutey, joining the likes of captain Tom Rees, Simon Shaw, Joe Simpson, Dom Waldouck and Joe Worsley, I am very optimistic that 2010/11 will see Wasps returning to the top end of the Premiership and competing strongly in the Heineken Cup.
